01 Instruction of the device
The new Advanced Aviation Training Device (AATD) developed by U-Wing Simulation is designed in accordance with the CAAC MH/T9011-2021 "Specification for advanced aviation training device assessment" and FAA AC61-136B standards.
The software and hardware of this series of devices are independently developed and produced by U-Wing Simulation, utilizing state-of-the-art digital simulation technology. They provide high-fidelity replication and restoration of the controls, instruments, equipment, and panels of various aircraft models. These devices can be used for ground and flight training programs that meet the requirements for private pilot licenses, instrument ratings, and commercial pilot licenses.
The devices possess high levels of fidelity and training capabilities. With the approval of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) of the United States, they can serve as substitutes for flight training hours. Currently, five aircraft models have been launched:
l Cessna C172S AATD
l Cirrus SR20 AATD
l Diamond DA40型AATD
l Diamond DA42型AATD
l Diamond DA40/42 Specific & Convertible AATD
Diamond DA40 AATD
02 Function and Technical Features
Compared to traditional flight simulation training devices, U-Wing Simulation's independently developed AATD offers significant advantages in terms of cost-effectiveness and more.
Enhanced Functionality: The new generation AATD by U-Wing Simulation provides comprehensive functionality. It allows instructors to easily set and manage training subjects and progress from the instructor's station, catering to different training requirements and scenarios. Multiple AATD units can be interconnected within a local area network, enabling coordinated training and incorporating air traffic control tower simulation for controlled airspace operations training.
Simplified Maintenance: The AATD requires less complex maintenance and upkeep. It effectively reduces the reliance on using actual aircraft for training, resulting in substantial cost savings in aircraft maintenance. This contributes to both economic and environmental benefits.
Lower Cost: The procurement cost of AATD is significantly lower compared to Full Flight Simulators (FTD), considerably reducing the equipment acquisition costs and financial burden on flight training schools.
Improved Operational Efficiency: The AATD can be conveniently installed in urban areas, unaffected by weather conditions and geographical limitations. This enhances training safety, flexibility, and operational efficiency.
Wide Range of Applications: The new generation AATD by U-Wing Simulation offers exclusive features that make it suitable for various applications, including aviation education in science museums, aviation schools, airports, and other operating units. It can be utilized for aviation popularization, flight experiences, and aviation-themed educational activities, enabling better aviation understanding among young individuals and non-professionals.

03 Courses and Subjects
In the ground and flight training syllabi, training for instrument-related courses can be accommodated. In the early stages of the training syllabus, the device can fulfill the requirements for procedural training under visual flight rules (VFR). Procedural training tasks may include operating in air traffic control environments, navigation exercises, slow flight and stalls, flight control and maneuvers solely based on instrument reference, emergency procedures, and more.
